Top WWE Star Auctioning Special Ring Gear For Sami Zayn’s Charity WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Edge wrestled his last match on his WWE contract back on August 18, when he defeated Sheamus in the main event of SmackDown in Toronto.

Edge’s WWE status has been in question over the past few weeks, with his contract with the company set to expire in September.

Reports emerged that WWE believed Edge was ‘AEW bound’ after the two sides didn’t agree on an extension, but Edge took to Twitter to say he still has a WWE contract extension sat in his inbox.

Though his future is still in question, Edge has made a great gesture, with him set to auction off his ring gear from his match with Sheamus, with all proceeds going to Sami Zayn’s Sami For Syria charity.

Taking to Twitter, Sami wrote:

Edge is a fantastic guy.

He got special ring gear made for his last event in Toronto, wore it, signed it & is now auctioning it off, with 100% of proceeds going to SamiForSyria.com to fund our mobile clinics in Syria. Much ❤️ @EdgeRatedR. Stay tuned for a link to bid soon

Sami then added that he never asked Edge to set up the auction, and he only found out when WWE Auctions informed him.

He added:

By the way, I didn’t ask him to do this. It’s something he set up internally with WWE Auctions and Fanatics. I only found out after the fact from them. He went out of his way to do it.
