WWE Star Elaborates On Braun Strowman Social Media Drama WWE

Ricochet has shared his thoughts on Braun Strowman’s ‘flip floppers’ tweet.

Strowman defeated Omos at Crown Jewel in a match billed as a Battle of Giants.

After the match, Strowman took aim in a since-deleted tweet, calling out “floppy floppers” and “flippy flippers” wrestlers and comparing them to “grocery baggers.”

The comments garnered heat from a number of colleagues, including Baron Corbin, and were even referenced during SmackDown.

High-flyer Ricochet recently discussed the social media drama on After the Bell with Corey Graves.

He said:

“Honestly, I don’t really put too much thought into it. Even Braun, back when he said those things, he’s still my friend. I just put a post to call him out, but we’re still cool.

“At the end of the day, I’ve heard it so much and coming up in the business, I heard it so much. ‘You’re never going to make it to WWE. It’s the land of the giants. You’re never going to make it.’ It’s almost white noise, TV static. If you do care, it’s going to take you down. If you do care, you can ask my girlfriend (Samantha Irvin), I don’t really care what anybody says about me. I don’t care.

“I know when I walk out there, all the kids are going to be like, ‘that’s my guy.’ Not only kids but the adults, everyone, as soon as I walk out there, whatever you feel about me, I know you’re going to get a feeling in the pit of your stomach when I walk out and you’re going to look at your friends and get excited.

“Whether you believe he’s (Ricochet) going to lose in five minutes or you believe he’s going to win in 22 minutes, you know you’re going to have a feeling in your stomach and you’re going to remember Ricochet. The memories that you’re going to remember him for are about to be some great stuff.”

At the time of Strowman’s tweet, Ricochet replied:

“Just don’t ask him to stand on a scale or he’ll threaten to sue you hahaha.”

Ricochet faced Santos Escobar in the final of the SmackDown World Cup Tournament on December 2.

He defeated Escobar after hitting a 630 Splash from the top rope, winning the SmackDown world cup and earning a shot at the Intercontinental Title shot against GUNTHER.
