WWE Star Legitimately ‘Irritated’ By Braun Strowman’s Recent Comments WWE

A WWE star was legitimately ‘irritated’ by Braun Strowman’s comments about “flippy flopper” wrestlers on Twitter.

Baron Corbin addressed the issue he had with the comments whilst speaking on After the Bell with Corey Graves.

Referencing Strowman’s Tweet following his match against Omos at WWE Crown Jewel in which he claimed “no one cares about all these floppy floppers”, Corbin said:

“I think, yeah, do you but whatever it is, stand behind it.

“If you cower and back down after, then you didn’t really mean it, you were doing it for clout, doing it for show, doing it for social media.”

The now-deleted Tweet that started the whole situation was met with criticism from across the wrestling world, including the likes of Will Ospreay and Mustafa Ali.

Reflecting on the contribution to wrestling that “flippy floppers” have had, Corbin highlighted the legacy of Rey Mysterio as a smaller-stature wrestler who has had huge success in the business.

He would note that there will be many wrestlers who will compared to Mysterio, but there “will never be another Rey Mysterio.”

He did go on to say of the cruiserweights:

“There is a place for those guys like we talked about.

It may not be the main event but there is a place for them so if you’re gonna go out on social media and say those things and the minute people start firing back at you, you back down or you cower away or you try to say it was a joke, that’s when I get irritated.”

“I think that you should take pride in being a big man and putting on a show like that but the minute you have to tell people how good you are and make up your own star rating, I’m out.”

Baron Corbin recently named the three smartest people in the WWE locker room.
