WWE Star Makes First Defense Of Championship

A WWE star has made their first successful defense of a championship on tonight’s episode of WWE NXT (December 12).

On tonight’s WWE NXT, Dragon Lee made the first defense of his recently won North American Championship.

After having bested Dominik Mysterio at NXT Deadline to capture the North American title, Dragon Lee already saw a fierce title opponent in Tyler Bate tonight.

After issuing an open challenge, it was Tyler Bate that answered the call and an exciting bout ensued.

In the end Dragon Lee was able to retain his title after winning the match, with a show of respect between the two after the match.

Elsewhere on the show, Cora Jade made her return to NXT TV in the opening segment of the night where she was then confronted by Lyra Valkyria, who herself was confronted by Blair Davenport, and then the return of Nikkita Lyons.

The four will have a tag-team match featuring Valkyria and Lyons teaming up against Jade and Davenport on tonight’s show.
