A WWE star has reacted to the bombshell news of a top star entering free agency, by adding fuel to the fire for a potential switch to the company.
While it has been widely reported that Kazuchika Okada’s NJPW contract was coming up at the end of January 2024, many fans didn’t seriously believe that the seven-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion would indeed be departing his home of 17 years.
Yet, in a statement posted to the NJPW website the company announced that Okada would in fact be departing.
Naturally, this has further intensified the ongoing speculation that WWE could in fact be Okada’s next destination, with the company reportedly holding interest in the 36-year-old for quite some time.
In reaction to the news, one former opponent of The Rainmaker has posted some curious teases to his social media channels.
WWE Raw star Bronson Reed; who holds a victory over Okada whilst competing in the 2022 G1 Climax, posted a picture of himself and Okada shaking hands following their bout to Instagram.
As well as this Reed would also post an emoji of a set of eyes to Twitter, with the timing suggesting that this too is in relation to Okada’s free agency.
