A WWE star has revealed that there was “a lot of hesitance” over the second Money in the Bank Ladder Match win of his career.

In 2025, following the beginning of a brand new allegiance with Paul Heyman and formation of The Vision alongside Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, Seth Rollins captured the men’s Money in the Bank briefcase at the titular WWE premium live event on June 8, 2025.

After feigning a knee injury that appeared set to keep him on the shelf for a while, Rollins would ultimately cash-in the briefcase two months later at WWE SummerSlam 2025, defeating CM Punk just minutes after his rival had dethroned GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Title.

Discussing the cash-in on The Sal Licata Show, Rollins revealed there was “hesitance” regarding his Money in the Bank win, given how “epic” his first cash-in was a decade prior at WrestleMania 31:

“You look back at my cash-in at WrestleMania in 2015, that’s a very epic cash-in, arguably one of the greatest of all time.

“So there’s a lot of hesitance getting the briefcase again and having to sort of replicate that energy.

“But when the storyline presented itself it made a lot of sense from a perspective of everybody on the roster trying to stop me cashing in, here and there I had tried it a couple times and so you find a way to get out of sight out of mind.”

Expressing his happiness at the execution of his fake injury angle and eventual cash-in, Rollins said:

“It’s hard to keep a secret like that in the modern industry.

“Some secrets are easy to keep, somebody’s returning from a long absence or whatever, you can kind of hide them for a long time. But because I was active and a main star in a main story on our show, it’s very hard to keep that secret.

“So, the fact that we were able to kind of get a little bit of grey area with it and execute it the way we did, I was really happy with the final product.

“I hope that I don’t have to do a third because I wouldn’t know what to do next time.”

Rollins would go on to hold the World Heavyweight Championship until October, but was forced to relinquish it after suffering a shoulder injury during a match with Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel 2025.
