A WWE star has pledged their support for SmackDown star Dakota Kai after she was supposedly the victim of an unwitnessed attack.
However, the nod is incredibly funny given just where it is coming from.
Carmelo Hayes has recently caused quite the stir on WWE NXT after having been revealed as being the attacker all along on his best friend, Trick Williams.
Turning on Williams and costing him his chance at the WWE NXT Championship, Carmelo Hayes is certainly not a shining example of a great best friend and now he has thrown his dubious support behind a SmackDown star who fans are already looking at sideways.
On tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Dakota Kai reported to Bayley that she was attacked by Damage CTRL, setting up a match on next week’s show – whether that’s true or not is unclear as the attack itself wasn’t shown
It will be the team of Kai and Bayley taking on the Kabuki Warriors with IYO SKY, Bayley’s WrestleMania 40 opponent, at ringside.
Taking to Twitter, Carmelo Hayes wrote:
“#JusticeforDakotaKai 🫡
“#SmackDown”
Suspicious Melo, very suspicious.
With Dakota Kai’s mercurial past as a friend, it is hard to know whether or not in the end she will prove to be true to Bayley or also turn against her, and the whole idea she was injured by the other Damage CTRL members could turn out to be a ruse.
