WWE Star Has First Ever Main Roster Singles Match WWE

A WWE star had his first ever main roster TV singles match on tonight’s December 1 edition of SmackDown from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The ongoing fallout of Santos Escobar’s betrayal of the LWO continued on tonight’s episode of SmackDown as Escobar went one-on-one with one of his former stablemates.

Joaquin Wilde made his main roster singles debut when he faced the former Legado Del Fantasma leader and LWO member. Wilde has been signed with WWE since 2019 after a stint in TNA as DJ-Z.

This bout was a grudge match as expected with the animosity evident from both competitors. However, Escobar would cut off any momentum Wilde was able to build with a superkick.

Santos followed up with the Phantom Driver to pick up the victory. Post match, Escobar continued his attack on his former friend.

However, this brought Dragon Lee to make the save. Santos looked to bail from the ring before attacking Lee from behind, but the luchador fired up and hit a big corner dropkick to send Escobar bailing for real this time.

WrestleTalk will provide any news and notes from tonight’s WWE SmackDown when they become available.
