A WWE star has reportedly been receiving praise backstage recently due to their willingness to perform big spots.
On this week’s episode of NXT, the tournament to determine the number one contenders for the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver continued, when Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro of the LWO faced off against OTM’s Bronco Nima and Lucien Price.
During the match, Joaquin Wilde performed another big dive to the outside, similar to the dive he performed back at NXT New Year’s Evil that went viral on social media.
The dive from this week’s show was not as big as the dive from New Year’s Evil, but it was planned to be the case.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Wilde was originally supposed to get much more distance on the dive, leaving OTM to recover to catch him in time.
In regards to Wilde’s wild dives, he has continued to draw praise due to his willingness to partake in such large spots.
LWO picked up the win on the show, earning them a spot in the final of the tag team tournament.
The tournament will continue next week, with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson facing off with Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, as well as Axiom and Nathan Frazer facing two members of the No Quarter Catch Crew.
