WWE Star Reveals Reason For Absence From Raw

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus has revealed the reason why she was absent from this week’s Monday Night Raw from Minneapolis, Minnesota (August 7).

Despite only being one week away from the presumed finale to her long-running feud with Becky Lynch at next week’s Raw from Winnipeg, Canada on August 14, Stratus was nowhere to be found on this past Monday’s show.

Instead, Stratus’ protege Zoey Stark confronted Lynch in her place, before losing a match to Shayna Baszler while Lynch watched at ringside.

Now, courtesy of a post on Twitter we have our answer as to why Stratus was nowhere to be seen, that being she’s enjoying some relaxation time at her cottage ahead of the major match.

As well as the update, Stratus also took the chance to have a dig at Americans’ lingo, saying:

Sorry I wasn’t on #WWERaw folks, the cottage was a calling.

I think you people in the States call them lakehouses?

In Canada, we call them cottages. If you need me, I’ll be at the lake. #CottageLife #LakeLife

With the two legends’ four month rivalry potentially set to reach its conclusion on August 14, it’s still unclear as to what the future holds for Stratus in WWE.

Despite Lynch firing shots at WWE for their re-arrangement of the match from SummerSlam to next week’s Raw, it looks like she could be positioned for another major angle once her problems with Stratus are ironed out.

On this week’s Raw a future program between Lynch and Shayna Baszler was teased, while prior to July 1’s Money in the Bank, WWE also teased a Rhea Ripley vs Lynch angle.
