WWE Star Returns With New Gimmick After A Year Away

WWE Star Returns With New Gimmick After A Year Away WWE

A WWE star has returned with a new gimmick after a year away from singles in-ring competition tonight.

Seemingly debuting a gimmick refresh, Brooklyn Barlow returned to WWE NXT for a match on Level Up.

While there was a brief backstage interview with Barlow before her match, she had the opportunity to show off a gimmick shift.

This came in the form of a clear pivot towards a vintage, happy go-lucky vibe (think peace signs, round sunglasses, riding the line of Austin Powers if you will).

While Barlow had returned in June to a Battle Royal on NXT, this was her first return to NXT Level Up since July of 2022, and they said this was her return after year away, not mentioning the battle royal.

Barlow has featured in house show appearances since returning to action in May 2023 but this is her first time back in singles action on a WWE broadcast.

Unfortunately for Barlow, she did lose the match as her opponent Dani Palmer picked up the victory.
