WWE Star Teases Match Against Former Partner

Carmelo Hayes has issued his first comments after Trick Williams booked his spot in the Iron Survivor Challenge at the WWE NXT Deadline Premium Live Event.

With Dijak earning the first spot in the Iron Survivor Challenge on last week’s NXT (November 7) with his win over Tyler Bate, it became the turn of Joe Coffey and Trick Williams to duke it out for the second slot in the match on this week’s NXT.

While Williams has been more focused on finding out the identity of his backstage attacker from the October 17 NXT, he still managed to come out on top over the Gallus member and become the second man to qualify.

Present for the closing stages of the match was his long-time partner Carmelo Hayes, who looked to equalise the presence of Gallus members Wolfgang and Mark Coffey.

While things went slight awry, with Hayes almost costing Williams the match, both men did stand tall together at the end celebrating Williams’ win.

However, in the celebration it did seem as if Hayes was not quite totally thrilled with Williams’ win, issuing a long gaze at the graphic that showed the Iron Survivor competitors confirmed thus far.

Clearly Hayes wants in on the action too, and would confirm as such by reposting the clip of the celebration along with the caption:

While no announcements have been made regarding Hayes’ qualifying match, one would expect that to come at some point in the coming weeks.

Elsewhere on NXT, Lash Legend pulled out a somewhat surprising victory to book her own spot in the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge, defeating former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez after interference from Kiana James.
