WWE’s Shayna Baszler is set for GCW Bloodsport during WrestleMania week and now a TNA Wrestling champion has been revealed as her opponent.
Don’t call it the Forbidden Door but WWE is having another crossover moment with TNA Wrestling, this time during WrestleMania week!
After it was previously announced that WWE star Shayna Baszler would be appearing at GCW Bloodsport, now her opponent has been revealed.
Her opponent for the match is set to be none other than TNA Wrestling’s Masha Slamovich as the pair will face off on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Masha Slamovich is a current TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion along with partner Killer Kelly.
The move is notable as previously, WWE stars were rarely, if ever, allowed to make non-WWE appearances although there have been notable exceptions.
Shinsuke Nakamura participated in the retirement match of the Great Muta for NOAH as well as several NXT stars making appearances with Booker T’s independent promotion, Reality of Wrestling.
According to a recent report from Dave Meltzer, there may be more WWE appearances coming to independent promotions during WrestleMania 40 week.
WrestleMania 40 will take place on Saturday April 6 and Sunday April 7, 2024 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
