A WWE star says working in AAA has “transformed them completely as a performer”, crediting Mr. Iguana for helping them adapt to lucha libre.
Although she recently lost her WWE Women’s NXT Championship to Kendal Grey at Great American Bash, Lola Vice remains one half of the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions along with Mr. Iguana – titles they have held since February 2.
Making her debut in the promotion at Worlds Collide in June 2025, it has been just over a year in AAA for Vice, and she’s been one of the most visible WWE talents in Mexico since that first appearance.
Speaking with Pro Wrestling & MMA Interviews, Vice discussed her AAA Mixed Tag Title win, and how AAA has changed her as a performer:
“That for me is something I will remember for the rest of my life and I’m grateful it was with Mr. Iguana.
“He’s helped me so much in my journey in lucha libre and definitely working in AAA transformed me completely as a performer and I’m so grateful for those opportunities.”

Vice continued, saying AAA is “completely different” than NXT, but that has allowed her to learn new things:
“Yeah it’s just completely different, but I was able to learn so much and La Toxicas are very good and they challenged me a lot, but every time I go there I learn something new and I’m able to bring that to NXT and somehow this crazy chaos works.”

Vice’s boyfriend WWE star Damian Priest was recently revealed to be the “former WWE world champion” AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio had been teasing to be joining the brand over the past few weeks.
There’s also the possibility that Priest will, like Lola Vice, become a champion in AAA soon, as AAA World Tag Team Champions The War Raiders have laid out a challenge to WWE Tag Team Champions Priest and R-Truth for a Title vs. Title match.

AAA: An Appealing Home For WWE Talent
While Lola Vice and Damian Priest are an example of stars who are flourishing on every brand they appear on, some talent, such as the aforementioned War Raiders, have found AAA to be a place where they can attempt to rebuild their WWE careers.
With competition for TV time fierce across Raw, SmackDown and NXT, there are always going to be names who fall to the wayside and find themselves going weeks without appearing.
Grayson Waller, Ivy Nile, Josh Briggs, Ilja Dragunov, these are just four examples of stars who have gone AWOL and could be looked at for runs in AAA.
Angel & Berto recently received a massive lifeline for their WWE careers by joining the reformed Los Perros Del Mal, and while it’d be nice to see the group referenced on WWE TV, rather than Angel & Berto feuding with Danhausen, AAA does give them hope and something far more exciting to sink their teeth into.
