On September 12, Stephanie Vaquer defeated Liv Morgan to win the WWE Women’s World Championship at a live event in Santiago, Chile.
Now that she is a two-time WWE Women’s World Champion, “La Primera” will be confronted by several different contenders coming after her gold.
From former champions to up-and-coming stars, Vaquer could kickstart her second run with a tough test in her first title defense.
Here are eight potential next WWE Women’s World Championship challengers for Stephanie Vaquer.
8. Liv Morgan
At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night One, Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer to win the WWE Women’s World Championship.
After Vaquer took time off to recover from injuries and came back following WWE SummerSlam 2026, she came up short against Morgan in a rematch on the September 7 episode of Monday Night Raw.
Due to the controversial nature of this win, Morgan was forced to defend the title against Vaquer in Chile.
With special guest referee Becky Lynch costing her the win, Morgan should get a rematch following this loss.
7. Raquel Rodriguez
During Stephanie Vaquer’s first WWE Women’s World Championship reign, Raquel Rodriguez became a top contender.
Facing Vaquer multiple times, Rodriguez became a thorn in the side of “La Primera.”
Now, Rodriguez is the current WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion and could position herself for another opportunity.
Wanting to bring the top prize in the Raw women’s division back to The Judgment Day, Raquel Rodriguez may be the one who could do it in place of Liv Morgan.
6. Roxanne Perez
Speaking of The Judgment Day, Roxanne Perez has also been on the hunt for championship gold.
While Liv Morgan held the WWE Women’s World Championship and Raquel Rodriguez won the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, Perez is the only female member of The Judgment Day who did not have a singles title.
“The Prodigy” has the youth and skill that could make her a strong challenger for Stephanie Vaquer.
Whether it be getting a title opportunity or winning the Women’s Money In The Bank, Perez could be the one who can make Vaquer’s title reign short-lived.
5. Bayley
On the July 18 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Lyra Valkyria defeated Bayley.
After the match, Valkyria brutally assaulted Bayley and took her out. However, the former WWE Women’s Champion made her return to get revenge on Lyra on the September 7 Monday Night Raw.
Now that she is back, Bayley may be able to position herself back into title contention.
Bayley challenging Stephanie Vaquer is a fresh matchup that could be a memorable encounter for the WWE Women’s World Championship.
4. Lyra Valkyria
Speaking of Bayley, she is back in WWE, looking for vengeance on her former friend Lyra Valkyria.
Since getting called up to the WWE main roster, Valkyria has consistently been involved in title contention.
Valkyria is the first ever WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion and a former Women’s Tag Team Champion as well.
With her new persona, Valkyria could bring a level of unhinged chaos to Stephanie Vaquer and might become the next champion.
3. Sol Ruca
Following WWE WrestleMania 42, Sol Ruca has been a rising star on the main roster.
It did not take Ruca too long before she became a champion by winning the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title.
Considering her athleticism and agility, Sol could offer a different kind of challenge to Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE Women’s World Championship reign.
In what would be a first time meeting, Ruca might just be a perfect opponent for Vaquer to kick off this second run.

Back at WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025, Stephanie Vaquer defeated IYO SKY to win the WWE Women’s World Championship.
Since this loss, SKY has won the 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament and earned a shot at the title again.
At WWE SummerSlam 2026, Liv Morgan defeated IYO SKY to retain the gold.
Since this loss, fans have not seen IYO a lot and could lead to her return to challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the WWE Women’s World Championship in the near future.
1. Becky Lynch
After the WWE SummerSlam 2026 premium live event, Becky Lynch made her return to the company and immediately confronted Liv Morgan.
Wanting to see Morgan lose the gold, Lynch was the special guest referee and cost her the WWE Women’s World Championship against Stephanie Vaquer on the September 12 live event from Santiago, Chile.
Ahead of this bout, “The Man” offered her help to “La Primera” in exchange for the first shot at the title.
With Lynch being responsible for this title win, Becky facing Vaquer will make for a tantalizing dream match for the WWE Women’s World Championship at a major event sooner rather than later.
