WWE Stars Praise NJPW Star Shingo Takagi

Over the last three years, more fans have had the opportunity to watch Shingo Takagi. He had previously been working for Dragon Gate before making the transition to New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Now, WWE stars Big E and Cesaro have shared their praise for Takagi on Twitter. Big E began by saying he spoke with Peter Rosenberg about Takagi’s greatness before adding that Brodie Lee was very close to wrestling him after leaving WWE.

This prompted a reply from Cesaro who agreed that Shingo Takagi is, in fact, great. Here are the tweets:

Brodie Lee had mentioned that he was allowed to work for New Japan Pro Wrestling in his deal with AEW. Of course, the pandemic prevented travel to Japan, and a New Japan run never happened.

Shingo Takagi is currently competing in the New Japan Cup tournament. In his first-round match, he managed to defeat Kazuchika Okada in a major upset.

Takagi made his New Japan debut in October 2018, joining Los Ingobernables de Japon. He has been one of the top workers in the world much longer than that but now a wider audience has been able to watch him work.
