WWE Stars Refuse To Attend SmackDown

WWE stars and SmackDown Tag Team Champions Austin Theory and Grayson Waller have refused to attend this Friday’s show.

At WWE WrestleMania 40 Night One, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory retrieved the SmackDown Tag Team Titles to become the new champions during the Six-Pack Ladder Match.

Despite Awesome Truth winning the Raw Tag Team Championships, the duo known as “A Town Down Under” will now be the top tag team on the blue brand.

Ahead of their first episode of SmackDown as champions, it looks like Waller and Theory will be skipping this week’s show.

On April 11, Grayson Waller took to social media to post a video of himself and Austin Theory drinking at an airport bar before their flight to Detroit for Friday’s SmackDown. The caption reads:

Dear @WWE,
Just letting you know your champs won’t be flying to that cesspool Detroit today. We do what we want now!

Waller’s tag team partner Austin Theory added an insincere apology in a retweet of the post. He wrote:

So sorry Detroit

Already announced for this Friday’s SmackDown, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and WWE Women’s Champion Bayley will appear on the show following their wins at WrestleMania 40.
