WWE Hall Of Famer Buries ‘Terrible’ Sting Tag Team AEW

A WWE Hall of Famer has buried AEW star Sting and his former tag-team partner, describing both as “terrible”.

Bushwhacker Luke gave his opinion of the pair on a recent podcast, recalling the team of Sting and Ultimate Warrior from their independent run in the mid-1980s.

Then known as The Blade Runners, they would be managed by Dutch Mantell.

Speaking on the Cheap Heat Productions podcast, Bushwhacker Luke explained:

“I knew him before he became The Ultimate Warrior.

“I knew him when he was with Sting and they were called The Blade Runners.

“And, boy, they were terrible.

“They were trained by a well-known guy on the west coast who trained a lot of guys, but these were two bodybuilders.”

Sting would be seen as the backbone of WCW before having successful runs in TNA, WWE and AEW.

It was recently revealed that Sting has been absent from AEW due to a recent surgery.

He has been announced as The Great Muta’s opponent at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Great Muta Bye-Bye show in January 2023.
