Ex-WWE Star To Return To Wrestling In New Role? WWE

Having last appeared at the WWE Royal Rumble in 2022, Summer Rae has revealed her future plans for a return to the wrestling world.

Summer Rae signed with WWE in November 2011 and would remain with the company until her release in October 2017.

During her time with the company, she was involved in a love triangle storyline involving Lana and Rusev.

She has recently commented on Vince McMahon’s reaction to the Lana and Rusev’s real-life relationship being made public.

Despite having an independent wrestling run after her departure from WWE, Summer Rae hasn’t competed since the Royal Rumble in 2022.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Summer Rae has revealed that she misses wrestling and provided a health update, saying:

“So, I miss wrestling. I personally wouldn’t, I have a bone spur on a vertebra in my neck and I have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.

“So, I’m doing good, but at the end of my injury, I kind of have the tingling in my hands where I couldn’t really open doors and that was a little scary to me.”

Ruling out an in-ring return, Summer Rae went on to discuss where she could see herself fitting in, adding:

“So for me, I miss storytelling. I constantly write ideas and pitches down and like, submit them to certain promotions.”

“I don’t think I could wrestle every week and be in that role. And I don’t think that’s my purpose either.

“I think, you know, being able to highlight talents, and pull the best out of them and being able to make them the main thing and being able to showcase new younger talent and bring them up with what I know from the business. I would love to do something like that.”

During her time in WWE, Summer Rae served as Fandango’s dance partner and also managed Tyler Breeze.
