Multiple WWE Talents Legitimately ‘Pissed’ At One Star After Royal Rumble 2025 WWE

There is reportedly backstage heat on one WWE star following his performance in the men’s 2025 Royal Rumble match.

UPDATE: Who Drew McIntyre was legitimately angry about in the Royal Rumble revealed – click here for the latest.

After the Rumble match last night, a report emerged from PWInsider that Drew McIntyre was “screaming and cursing” backstage after he’d been eliminated, and that he “stormed out” of the building and left before the match was over.

The report didn’t include any specifics, but said McIntyre was complaining that “someone had to get their moves in”, which was “at the expense” of some of the stories being told in the match.

Now, a follow-up has emerged, and it sounds like McIntyre isn’t the only WWE star in that match who had a problem with a specific person’s performance.

On today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported:

“There’s a guy that a lot of people were pissed at in that match, with the idea that he was trying to get himself over and not the match over, and he was doing things.

“I don’t wanna mention his name, it’ll probably come out tomorrow, because it’s only one person telling me the name, but it’s multiple people telling me that the Drew thing… he wasn’t happy. It’s not an angle. If they end up doing an angle with the person later – which there’s no hints of anything.

“But I heard that Drew was not the only one unhappy about the situation.”
