Ever since Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka for the Smackdown Women’s Championship on Tuesday night, fans have been speculating about the possible ramifications this might have on the historic WrestleMania main event between Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship.
Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE had no plans to unify the women’s titles, with Vince McMahon supposedly wanting each brand to have their own separate champion. There were rumours of a complex match stipulation where whoever was pinned would lose their championship, but WWE might have just subtly hinted at their plans.

WWE posted a picture of Charlotte Flair not only holding her Smackdown Women’s Championship, but also the Raw version of the title. They accompanied this with the caption ‘#WrestleMania spoiler?’ This led some to question if the company are planning on unifying the championships and having both on the line in the main event of the show. This would make the aforementioned reports null and void.
It remains to be seen what will happen for sure, but some have speculated that WWE will have Becky Lynch holding both championships above her head to close out the show. Perhaps the go-home Raw show on Monday night will give us more of an indication of the direction that the company are going to take.
