With WrestleMania 40 taking place in Philadelphia, WWE NXT Stand & Deliver will also be taking place there on April 6. 2024.
At the upcoming NXT PLE, Trick Williams will face Carmelo Hayes, with the pair having been locked into a feud for a number of months.
Williams has reflected on the importance of the Philadelphia show, looking back at his American Football career.
In a post shared through his own Twitter account, Williams revealed:
“I played my last snap of football with the Eagles.
“I took my first bump in Philly.
“Coming back this time is personal.”
Williams, real name Matrick Belton, attended the Philadelphia Eagles rookie minicamp in May 2018 with The State noting that he went from “a walk-on college football player who had 11 catches in his career” to the minicamp.
Signing with WWE in February 2021, Trick Williams has gone on to be an NXT North American Champion.
As noted, NXT Stand & Deliver takes place on April 6, earlier in the day before WrestleMania night one begins that evening.
