Triple H Addresses WWE Fan Backlash To WrestleMania 40 Change WWE

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has commented on fan backlash to a big change being introduced at WrestleMania 40.

Ahead of this weekend’s premium live event, WWE confirmed that the ring canvas will look different for this year’s Show of Shows.

US Champion Logan Paul and fellow British content creator KSI revealed on the March 8 SmackDown episode that their Prime Hydration brand had partnered with WWE to be the company’s first centre ring sponsor for every premium live event moving forward, starting with WrestleMania.

Many fans have criticised this decision, arguing that such a noticeable sponsorship logo would devalue WrestleMania moments.

Speaking on Logan Paul’s ImPaulsive podcast, Triple H stated that there has been a shift in philosophy with WWE under the TKO banner.

Addressing the backlash, Triple H said:

“No one likes change, right? They are so used to seeing this thing pristine with nothing there, 90% of the people might hate it. As you move forward, it’s there. It is just there, you know what I mean?

“And if you are watching every single day, if you don’t like it, you stop noticing it. But the advertisement of it, and the promotion you get out of it is massive.”

Triple H has also commented on plans changing for WrestleMania 40, revealing who really pitched for The Rock to turn heel.
