WWE Star Reveals His Backstage Role & Responsibilities

WWE Star Reveals His Backstage Role & Responsibilities WWE

WWE commentator Corey Graves has revealed some of the unofficial roles he has taken on backstage in the company.

While Graves originally started out with WWE as a wrestler, Graves became a commentator after he was forced to step away from the ring in 2014.

Since then, Graves has established himself as one of WWE’s most consistent voices.

Speaking with Sportskeeda’s Bill Apter, Corey Graves noted that he has tried his hand at producing WWE content.

Noting that he doesn’t have an official producer role, Graves stated:

“I’ve kind of unofficially taken on some responsibilities in the television studio, and then as far as producing little bits and pieces and and I don’t have an official role of doing any of that but I kind of get to lend my expertise if you want to call it that or opinion at least on a lot of different things.

“It’s really cool to be able to learn that side of the business.”

Corey Graves called Friday’s (January 12) edition of SmackDown, and had to address the cameras directly which filmed him instead of the ring while Carmelo Hayes and Austin Theory were helped to the back after their match was called off.

The referee called off the match after Theory and Hayes appeared to knock heads during a botched Spanish Fly spot.

WWE has since shared updates on Theory and Hayes, which you can read more about right here.
