Warner/WWE
An update has emerged on a possible relationship between WWE and Warner Bros Discovery, following reports about potential interest.
Former Executive VP of Original Programming for USA Network James Andrew Miller recently caused a stir by indicating that he believes that there are some within Warner Bros Discovery who are interested in WWE.
With AEW Dynamite and Rampage both airing on networks owned by Warner Bros Discovery, this led fans to speculate about which product would remain with the company if push came to shove.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), several WWE higher ups have noted that they hadn’t heard anything about Warner Bros Discovery’s potential interest whatsoever.
Fightful also noted that there haven’t been any talks about WWE with Warner Bros Discovery, where there have been talks with several other parties regarding upcoming TV rights.
The report revealed that sources at Warner Bros Discovery have indicated that the company is preparing to ‘substantially expand’ their relationship with AEW.
It was stated that the Warner Bros Discovery sources did not speak ill of WWE.
As of writing, WWE Raw airs on the USA Network and WWE SmackDown airs on FOX.
