Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Piper Niven has fired shots at WWE for the booking of the women’s division following the latest WWE Speed announcement.
WWE has announced that the company’s new Speed brand will premiere on X (fka Twitter) on April 3.
The brand will feature fast-paced matches, with wrestlers to be given three minute time limits in WWE Speed matches.
Piper Niven has taken to Twitter to share WWE’s video officially announcing Speed, throwing shade at the company for the booking of the women’s roster.
Referencing criticism’s surrounding time being cut from women’s division matches in recent weeks, Niven wrote:
3 minute matches? 🗣️LADIES ITS OUR TIME TO SHINE! Wait, Whadaya mean it’s not for us?
Replying to a Twitter user who tagged Triple H in the comments asking him to book WWE’s women better, Niven replied:
Shhhhhhh don’t be grassing me up to the big man 😆
Mumma P will be having no minute matches if we keep that up. 😂
Answering a fan asking when did she get so funny, Niven noted that she’s hoping that everyone is too distracted to be paying attention to her ahead of WrestleMania, writing:
Only when it’s PLE time and everyone important is far to busy to notice me and my jokes 😆😬🤞🏻
Niven’s most recent match on Raw saw her and Chelsea Green lose to Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark on the January 29 episode in just two minutes.
