WWE star Drew McIntyre has said that he will leave the company if he doesn’t win his upcoming title match at WrestleMania 40.
McIntyre will challenge for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship during Sunday’s (April 7) show.
With Rollins taking a beating during the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night One, many fans have predicted that the Scottish Warrior will dethrone The Visionary.
During a WWE World panel that took place ahead of WrestleMania 40 Night One, Drew McIntyre stated that he intends to leave WWE if he loses to Rollins.
When asked what he’ll do if he loses again, McIntyre said:
“I’ll play this game. What if? It’s not going to happen, but what if? I’ve been in this business since I was 15 years old, it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. It was a part-time job in high school through university. I’ve always been a professional wrestler.
“I was signed to WWE at 21, fired at 29, truly found myself, came back, became the man and the superstar I am today. I’ve never been better. I’m in my prime in the ring, in my prime on the microphone because I’m myself. Social media, nobody can touch me, I’ll tear you to shreds. I’ve never been better all around.
“If I can’t win against Seth Rollins on Sunday. Quite frankly, I shouldn’t be in this industry. I’ll leave WWE.”
Rollins and Cody Rhodes teamed up to battle The Rock and Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night One.
The Rock and Roman Reigns were ultimately victorious, meaning that Roman Reigns’ Undisputed Universal Title defence against Cody Rhodes on Sunday will be contested under Bloodline Rules.
Roman Reigns previously teased that he will retire if he loses his championship during his recent documentary.
McIntyre has now reacted to Rollins losing in the main event of WrestleMania Saturday, which you can read more about right here.
