WWE star Finn Balor has broken his silence after losing two championships during WrestleMania 40 Night One.
Balor and Priest defended both the Raw and SmackDown tag-team championships during a Six Pack Tag Team Ladder Match on Saturday’s show.
The duo left the Lincoln Financial Field without any gold, with Austin Theory & Grayson Waller winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, and R-Truth & The Miz taking home the Raw Tag Team Title.
Balor has now taken to Twitter to share a photo of a cut he suffered during the match.
You can view Balor’s post below.
Looking on the bright side, Balor wrote:
At least NO staples this year #WrestleMania
Balor notably needed 14 staples to close a head wound following his Hell in a Cell match against Edge at WrestleMania 39 in 2023.
All of the Judgment Day was in action on WrestleMania 40 Night One. Dominik Mysterio teamed with Santos Escobar in a losing effort against Rey Mysterio and Andrade.
Rhea Ripley picked up the faction’s only win of the night, pinning Becky Lynch to retain her Women’s World Championship.
In the main event of Saturday’s show, Roman Reigns and The Rock defeated Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, meaning that Reigns’ Undisputed Universal Title defence against Rhodes on Sunday will be contested under Bloodline Rules.
Seth Rollins will also wrestle on WrestleMania 40 Night Two, defending his World Heavyweight Title against Drew McIntyre.
Drew McIntyre has commented on Seth Rollins’ performance at WrestleMania 40 Night One, which you can read more about right here.
