With a Bloodline family member making their WWE debut, the star in question has issued a warning to the NXT roster.
The August 11 episode of WWE NXT saw Zilla Fatu, the son of Umaga, make his debut, having recently brought an end to his time on the independent wrestling scene by losing the HoG Crown Jewel Championship over the past weekend.
Fatu would debut in brutal style, interrupting Grayson Waller vs. Cruz Montana as they sought to determine the number one contender for the NXT Championship.
Having left both stars on the mat, Fatu would engage in a staredown with Tony D’Angelo, seeming setting his eyes on the NXT Championship.
In footage shared on Twitter, Fatu made a declaration following his arrival in NXT, stating:
“New sheriff in town. The main one. Zilla Fatu.”
The post was accompanied by the comment:
“Zilla Fatu with a REALITY CHECK for #WWENXT!”
Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that Fatu had been seen at the WWE Performance Center, with an indication that was believed to have signed with the company.
The Bloodline Flows Through WWE
The long history of the Samoan Dynasty in the WWE is the sort of thing that would be difficult to condense into one news story. For those who wish to explore the Bloodline Family Tree, an explainer can be found right here.
Currently, over on Raw, Roman Reigns remains very much The OTC, holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and leading The Bloodline, with Jimmy & Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa, who was recently delivered to the Tribal Chief.
With Solo Sikoa having seen the demise of The MFTs under his leadership, another Bloodline family tree member recently returned to SmackDown, in the form of Haku, siding with Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga, who attempted to remnid the stars they are “the motherf**king Tongans.”
While much of the family’s focus has been on The Bloodline and The MFTs over recently months, if not years, Nia Jax remains a presence on SmackDown. The first cousin of The Rock’s grandfather, Jax has remained outside of story featuring The Bloodline. The same has been true of Tamina, the daughter of Jimmy Snuka who shares an Anoa’i connection through her mother.
With Zilla Fatu debuting in NXT, there’s little doubt that a main roster call-up will be in his future.
