WWE’s Nakamura Hangs Out With Old NJPW Rival

As seen on Shinsuke Nakamura’s personal Instagram, Nakamura spent time with his old rival Hiroshi Tanahashi yesterday while in Taiwan.

Nakamura and Tanahashi are former rivals dating back to their time together in New Japan Pro Wrestling. The two men main evented Wrestle Kingdom 8 where Tanahashi defeated Nakamura for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship.

They last competed in the G1 Climax Final in 2015 where Tanahashi again came out victorious.

Tanahashi is currently set to team with Ryusuke Taguchi to compete against Bullet Club members Hangman Page and Marty Scurll at the G1 Special in San Fransisco before participating in the 2018 G1 Climax tournament.

Nakamura is currently out of action after being bitten by a police dog before a WWE event last week. He was supposed to face Jeff Hardy for the United States Championship last week on SmackDown Live but was unable to compete due to his injury.
