Former 3-time NXT Tag Team Champion Bobby Fish made his AEW debut on this Wednesday’s (October 6), and it was announced after the show that he has signed with the promotion.
Dave Meltzer noted in this week’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Fish coming into AEW was something that was recommended and largely put together by the Young Bucks.
He also notes that AEW waited until after the match to announce Fish’s signing as they wanted to position it as an outsider coming in and trying to win, rather than a person under contract trying to win.
Fish will have his second match in AEW on next Saturday’s episode of Dynamite, when he faces Bryan Danielson.
