Drake Maverick is continuing his great run of matchmaking on 205 Live with the announcement of Hideo Itami vs. Mustafa Ali vs. Buddy Murphy for next week’s show. The match was first teased on last week’s episode when Itami attacked Ali and Murphy during their singles encounter.
It’s what they want…

Ali was close to winning his match against Murphy and therefore took the attack more personally. The anger of Ali was clearly still fresh on this week’s show as he called for the Triple Threat match to be made after his victory over Tony Nese.
It’s a near certainty that the winner of next week’s match will solidify themselves as the number one contender for Alexander’s WWE Cruiserweight Championship given that all three men are in the upper echelon of the roster.
Murphy and Ali have already had an opportunity at the Cruiserweight Championship this year, with both men stealing the show alongside Alexander. With this in mind, it would be interesting to see how Itami would fair against Alexander given his recent push on the purple brand.
It has taken Itami a while to find his feet on 205 Live but he now seems to be gathering momentum towards a title shot, with his recent win over former champion Akira Tozawa being a standout since his move from NXT.
Whoever comes out victorious, this is surely going to be another can’t miss match on Tuesday night.
