Well, we called it!
Last week we speculated that therapist extraordinaire Dr Shelby may be about to make his return to WWE right HERE.
And sure enough, last night on Raw the man who made such a difference to the lives of Team Hell No was back to help Bayley and Sasha Banks.
Actor Michael Aspinwall, who had teased his character’s comeback on social media and YouTube for months, reprised the role he made famous in those classic Daniel Bryan and Kane anger management skits in 2012/2013.
Sadly, it turned out that Bayley and Sasha weren’t quite so willing as pupils.
Not only did the two segments on last night’s Raw end in a screaming match between the two former friends, but the acting and comic timing displayed by the pair was distinctly lacking.
This is what the fans had to say about the segments.
Bayley. Sasha Banks. Dr Shelby.
One huge joke. That’s all it is. Making that segment like that, legitimately ruins the entire storyline #Raw
Instead of fighting over who is the best or I dunno, the #Raw Women’s Title, they make a comedy segment out of it

Dr. Shelby stuff with Bayley/Sasha felt way too forced and choreographed. This is what happens when you try to recreate the magic of something from the past without evolving the concept. #WWE #RAW

Not everyone disliked it though.
I absolutely love how Dr Shelby had a framed pic of Bryan & Kane on his wall 😂😂😂 #RAW pic.twitter.com/9fhCkZNofT

As for this writer, I was really looking forward to the return of Dr Shelby but was left feeling disappointed.
The man himself seemed a little wound up by the experience too. As he tweeted afterwards.
Friendship Counseling @WWE with @SashaBanksWWE and @itsBayleyWWE can be very stressful! #FriendZone

The segments are expected to continue next week.
