Similar to his fake father, Kurt Angle, Jason Jordan has a “broken freakin’ neck”. However, the WWE superstar will not be winning an Olympic medal. Sadly, Jordan’s injury was more extensive than initially thought and his days in a wrestling ring may be over.
However, the WWE may not be finished with Jordan. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Jordan is shadowing producers backstage. Prompting speculation that he could be transitioning into a backstage role at the company. Jordan was written off of RAW in February after interfering in a tag team match between Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns and The Bar.
It isn’t unheard of for the WWE to find other positions for injured wrestlers. Paige recently transitioned to general manager. Corey Graves became an announcer after suffering injuries in NXT. Daniel Bryan also became a general manager when it was thought his career was over. Jordan is a young and talented athlete and it will be a disappointment if he is unable to return to the ring.
