WWE Evolution, the promotion’s first all-women’s pay-per-view, is scheduled for October 28. When Stephanie and Triple H gave a tearful speech to the women’s rosters of Raw, SmackDown, and NXT it appeared as though they would be the two people to take charge in running the show. Especially considering the role that Triple H has played in creating some of the women’s storylines in NXT and on the main roster.
As it turns out neither of the two will have a prominent role in running the inaugural show.
Dave Meltzer noted on Twitter that it will actually be Vince McMahon in charge of Evolution.
McMahon still runs Raw and Smackdown while Triple H runs NXT and 205 Live. Triple H does have a say on Raw and Smackdown, but the final decisions are still ultimately made by McMahon.
McMahon has a rather shaky past when it comes to booking the company’s female wrestlers over the years. It will be interesting to see how the groundbreaking, revolutionary, first time ever, superlative-collecting show goes under his guidance.
