Some pay per views are dry and don’t demand a great deal of scrutiny after the fact. Say what you will about WWE Survivor Series 2018, but there sure were a few moments that left me scratching my head at the end of the day. Let’s get right into it, shall we?
10. Would Buddy Murphy’s Gimmick Get Over Outside Of 205 Live?
I’ve said before that Buddy Murphy, “the Juggernaut of 205 Live is their version of the monster heel archetype. Billed on this night at 203lbs, Murphy is constantly in danger of being too heavy to compete, has a devastating move-set, and comes off as an unbeatable champ.
That’s why Buddy Murphy’s gimmick wouldn’t work on the main roster. 205 Live has presented Buddy Murphy a unique opportunity that he could never have been afforded on the main roster. Sure, Murphy could easily have competed either as a low-carder or tag team wrestler on the main roster, but on 205 Live he shines as a beacon of hope for the show that has had a hard time finding a wider audience.
Do you think Buddy’s character would make it big on the main shows?
