Former WWE and ECW champion Rob Van Dam hasn’t been seen in the company since 2014, citing issues caused by concussion as his reason for leaving.
His final WWE match was against Seth Rollins in August 2014, after which he left the company seemingly for good. Van Dam is one of the most popular faces in world wrestling, having wrestled for countless promotions across the world, and fans have missed seeing him on their screens.
But could that be about to change? Replying to a fan tweet asking what he had been up to lately, RVD answered:
You will soon… https://t.co/pf92MrekxG

While this by no means confirms that he is going to make an incredible comeback, it will certainly have fans speculating about what we will know “soon”.
If it’s true that a concussion lead to his WWE release, the company would of course take every precaution to ensure that no symptoms lingered before allowing him back.
He last worked with WWE in 2017, but this was entirely business and video game based. With WWE looking to start a “new era” once again however, could we see former stars being approached to spice up the product going forward?
