On the same night that Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas lost two thirds of his name, another victim of WWE name changes was told he will be defending his title at the Royal Rumble.
Rusev will once again be facing Shinsuke Nakamura in his first US Championship defence since winning the belt on the Christmas Day episode of SmackDown Live.

The two men have feuded since, and despite WWE cancelling automatic rematch clauses, all three of SmackDown’s singles titles are rematches. Sweet.
Hopefully Rusev retains and starts some more meaningful feuds to get other stars over, because that Nakamura title run was about as entertaining as my chest infection.
