I can sense everyone’s lips tingling simultaneously after clicking this article. That’s right, eight-time WWE Champion and Hollywood icon Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is hopping aboard the All Elite Wrestling hype train.
The Rock responded to a Chris Jericho video promo, in which Y2J took all the credit for AEW Double or Nothing selling out in just four minutes yesterday:
[CAUTION: There is a naughty word]
God I love when you cut baby face promos 😂👏🏾 Great shit Mongoose! Congrats on the sell out!! 💪🏾
— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) February 14, 2019
Now, on the surface, that might just look like Rock congratulating his pal on this new venture in his career, but there might be slightly more to it than that.
That is because the interaction didn’t end there. AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes joined the conversation, replying:
Yea…
congrats Chris pic.twitter.com/EgLFSZ7YVs

Is this a sign that AEW are genuinely interested in the ‘Great One’ making an appearance or even wrestling the odd match? It could be. It also probably isn’t. But we can dream, right?
Let us know in the comments if you’d actually want to see The Rock in AEW at some point, and whether you see it as a feasible possibility.
