Last week the news came out that Naomi and husband Jimmy Uso had been stopped by police in Texas because Naomi was driving the wrong way down a one-way street. According to the report, the car they were in smelled of alcohol and following the stop, Jimmy became aggressive with the cops and acted like he was going to fight them.
Naomi has since taken to Twitter to address negative fan reaction to the incident and has offered some clarification as to what actually happened.
According to the SmackDown star, she was not ticketed and she was not drinking. Her explanation for driving down the one-way street the wrong way was because it was dark and there were no signs indicating it was a one-way street. She also noted that it was snowing heavily and there was no traffic on the street, meaning there was no obvious signs that she was driving the wrong way.
I was NOT ticketed, I was NOT drinking, leaving the lot I was unaware that it exits to a 1 way street (it was dark snow no signs no traffic I was pulled immediately made a mistake and I own it) as for my husband he’s more of a man you’ll ever be & I’ll leave it at that #blocked https://t.co/ymRRanIQeH

Well, that explains some of the story at least. Quite what prompted Jimmy to get into a near-scuffle with the police and get arrested as a result is less clear.
Ironically, given Naomi’s account of the story, she was the one seemingly punished by WWE for the incident rather than her husband. At Elimination Chamber plans were reportedly changed late in the day, with her team with Carmella eliminated from the women’s Chamber match earlier than previously planned.
Elsewhere on the show, Jimmy was rewarded for bad behaviour (in reality it was because the Usos’ contracts are coming up and WWE does not want to lose them) with the SmackDown tag titles.
