Roman Reigns appeared on Good Morning America this morning in what was advertised as him delivering a “can’t miss” announcement. He did not quite do that, having made his big announcement on Raw last night, but he still had plenty to say.
Reigns reiterated the news that his leukaemia was in remission to interviewer Robin Roberts then opened up about how he never gets nervous, whether it be appearing on this show or headlining WrestleMania, but admitted he was really nervous before last night’s appearance.

Reigns also discussed how he was overwhelmed by the support he had received over the past four months, noting that the first time he was diagnosed with the illness when in his 20s he felt like he was “on an island” whereas this time around he was surrounded by friends, family and fans from around the world, which he said lifted his spirits and helped him fight the battle head on.
He also talked about his status as a role model to fans, especially youngsters, noting that he wants to create awareness, funds and foundations via the platform he has in WWE to help children going through similar battles to what he did.
Following his appearance, Reigns tweeted the following, thanking Roberts and GMA for giving him the platform to share his message:
Thank you to @RobinRoberts and everyone from @GMA. Thank you for the support and the platform to raise awareness for leukemia research. Now, it’s time to get ready to go back to work!! 🤙🏽@WWE
