When Kurt Angle announced that he would be having his ”farewell match” at WrestleMania 35 before retiring, many fans speculated that his final opponent would be none other than John Cena. This would make sense based on the fact that the 16-time World Champion’s first match in WWE, all the way back in 2002 was against the Olympic Gold Medalist.
However, Kurt would announce the following week that his final opponent was to be Baron Corbin, in the most uninspiring option possible.
This generated a huge negative response by WWE fans, something commentary even acknowledged. John Cena has now joined the fans in taking to social media to share his thoughts on the match.

Cena’s Instagram post, in which a fan calls Corbin a ”dumpster fire”, has added to the speculation that Baron Corbin won’t end up being Angle’s opponent, with Cena replacing him at the last minute. Some have suggested that WWE gave us Corbin vs. Angle as the promoted match so we appreciate the final changed bout when it happens. Odd tactics by WWE, but we will have to wait and see how it pans out.
