It was reported in early 2019 that six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA had signed with WWE, but we’ve not actually seen any sign of him since then.
Well a new update regarding his WWE status has been provided by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, who wrote:
“KUSHIDA has been in Orlando and has been at the WWE Performance Center. I would be shocked if he isn’t revealed in some fashion at Takeover: New York next weekend.”
It was previously noted by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer that WWE is essentially hiding KUSHIDA, hence why we haven’t seen him unveiled or pictured with any of the new signings thus far.
NXT TakeOver: New York takes place Friday April 5, two nights before WrestleMania 35.
