It appears that former NXT Women’s Champion and inaugural Mae Young Classic winner Kairi Sane is heading to the main roster shortly.
At last night’s NXT tapings at Full Sail University, Sane challenged long-time rival Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship and lost. As per the stipulation of the bout, that meant Sane was not allowed to challenge for the title again.

Following the defeat, The Four Horsewomen beat down Sane and Sky Pirates tag partner Io Shirai. After the segment was over, Sane was left alone in the ring and she bowed to the crowd in what appeared to be her NXT farewell.
Sane is expected to be one of the names moved up from NXT as part of next week’s Superstar Shakeup. She has previous main roster experience, having wrestled at Evolution, in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal and competing in both women’s Royal Rumble matches.
