Harper, formerly Luke Harper of The Wyatt Family returned to TV at WrestleMania 35 in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal after a lengthy spell out with an injury. He also then make an appearance at the WWE Worlds Collide event that aired on Sunday night, besting Dominik Dijkavoic.
However, just two days later, the former Smackdown Tag Team Champion has taken to Twitter to share that he has asked for his release from the company.

Harper released a statement prior to WrestleMania 35 discussing how he felt overlooked by the company, with many of his friends even asking if he was retired. He shared in his statement that he wanted to “continue to make [his] family proud” and added that his “goal in the future is to continue to grow as a performer”. He would go on to thank everyone “from the top to the bottom of WWE”.
However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Harper did not note what WWE’s response to his request was, and this is because it has not yet been granted. We will provide more information when it becomes available.
We would like to wish Harper the best of luck for his career outside of WWE if he is granted his release. He will be a great asset for whatever promotion he finds himself working for.
