CM Punk has not wrestled since the 2014 Royal Rumble match. Since his exit from the company, fans have been fantasy booking scenarios in which the former WWE Champion would make his emphatic return to the ring.
However, ROH’s Silas Young might have just implied that CM Punk made his wrestling return at an MKE Wrestling show yesterday. The promotion ran an angle where a masked man interfered in a match and delivered a Go To Sleep, CM Punk’s finishing move in WWE.

Young, who runs the promotion, would tweet about the success of the show and say that “guys like Colt Cabana as well as A PUNK who showed up in a mask last night”, suggesting that the former WWE man was the hooded mystery man at his show.
Last night we held @MKE_Wrestling at the Knights of Columbus building in west allis the place was packed with 350 people. This place has had 25+ years of wrestling and is the place a lot of guys started. Guys like @ColtCabana as well as a Punk who showed up in a mask last night

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has said that his sources have confirmed that this was in fact Punk. They also added that this wasn’t the first time he has appeared at an independent show:
“A trusted source contacted us and said that this actually isn’t the first time it’s happened. Apparently Punk appeared under a hood at some point before his falling out with Colt Cabana, which would have been during the Wrestling Road Diaries 3 filming. We’re told that it was dropped from the final cut after Punk and Cabana’s issues developed.”
It is certainly plausible that Punk appeared at the show as he was in the Milwaukee area and was photographed earlier in the day wearing a very similar jumper to the one the hooded man appeared to be wearing in the video.
