It was reported last week that the Universal champion Seth Rollins would defend his title against Drew McIntyre at Money In The Bank. However, it was revealed last night on Raw that AJ Styles will actually be the man challenging Rollins for his title at the May pay-per-view.
AJ Styles defeated Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle in the show’s opening bout to advance to a match with Baron Cobrin, who beat The Miz and Drew McIntyre earlier on in the show. Styles then beat Corbin, earning the right to face Rollins at the next pay-per-view.
After the match, Rollins made his way down to the ring for a stare off with the former WWE Champion and WWE shared the image on Twitter with the caption “You ready?” Rollins would reply to the image and say he’s been ready for 15 years.
I’ve been ready for this for 15 years. https://t.co/wozUhnaPGM
