Sasha Banks has not been seen on WWE TV since WrestleMania 35 on April, 7 after she reportedly tried to quit the company. It was later reported that Banks was frustrated after WWE told her of their plans to split her and Bayley up in the Superstar Shake-Up.
“The Boss” was then given some time away from the company to think about her future. However, it was reported that the company were ‘hopeful’ Banks would reconsider and return at the upcoming Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
However, it is now being reported that Sasha Banks and WWE are at a ‘stalemate’ regarding a potential return, and “The Boss” might sit out the rest of her contract if she is not granted her release from the company.
Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, said that very little had changed regarding Banks’ WWE situation. He provided the following update and said things don’t look great for her future with the company:
“Sasha Banks, the situation is unchanged. They are right now at a stalemate, and the word is—and of course you know how this goes—but the word is that if she wants to sit out the rest of her contract, she can sit out the rest of her contract. And of course, if you know what that means, that means she’s going to be sitting out forever because they’re going to add time for not working so, it’s—these contracts are very, very difficult.”
WWE might want Sasha Banks to come back, but it appears that the two parties are unable to come to an agreement. Meltzer added that next week’s Raw will be key as a “telling sign” about Banks’ potential involvement at the upcoming pay-per-view. Meltzer says if she is not in the show next week, then she will most likely not be appearing at Money In The Bank, especially considering Alexa Bliss will be revealing the Raw participants for the Men’s and Women’s ladder matches in a special ‘Moment of Bliss’ show.
