WWE’s resident “Goddess” Alexa Bliss was removed from the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match at Sunday night’s pay-per-view with an undisclosed injury. Bliss was replaced by fellow former NXT star Nikki Cross, and it was later reported that she was dealing with yet another concussion.
Many fans were concerned when it was reported that Bliss was out with a concussion. She has wrestled just four times on TV since the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view in September 2018 where she lost in a Raw Women’s Championship match to Ronda Rousey. She missed Evolution and many other pay-per-views as a result of concussion issues.
Fans said that this was surely the end of the road for Bliss with regards to her in-ring career, with many saying that WWE would never put her in the ring again with a history of concussion-related early deaths in wrestling. However, Bliss has taken to social media to deny reports that she is retiring, and responded to one article by a site that said her career was in jeopardy by saying that her “career is just fine”.
My career is just fine. Thank you for the concern though 💁🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ https://t.co/pKD1y9aHt6
