It was announced on the most recent episode of Being the Elite that Hangman Page would not be able to compete at Double or Nothing. The segment came after Page and PAC’s confrontation at WrestleGate Pro on Saturday.
At the end of the match, PAC got himself disqualified and proceeded to Pillmanize Page’s leg. Now Page revealed that due to that injury he will be unable to compete at Double or Nothing. The injury is a work but it remains to be seen whether Page will be involved in a confrontation on the show.
The original match between Page and PAC was called off due to creative differences. As PAC is currently Dragon Gate’s Open the Dream Gate Champion and would not lose as long as he is champion. It is being reported by Dave Meltzer that PAC was scheduled to beat Page but the creative differences stemmed from future matches.
If PAC was going to beat Page it was meant to launch PAC to bigger matches in the future. When it became clear that PAC would not be willing to lose those matches at this time, the match was called off.
It is unclear what Page’s role at Double or Nothing will be.
